Bjursund: approx. 100km south of Stockholm, July 2004

In the Southern part of Sweden on the eastern cost you find some nice the nice "skæregaard", that is a costal area with many islands and shallow water. This is often a perfect place for plain water kayaks. This year our club holiday took us to the skæregaard. 32 members left Denmark around the 2. and 3'rd of July.

We crossed Sweden approx. 475 km from Varberg to Bjursund near Loftahammar by cars. We spend a week in this nice area doing a lot of kayaking, a little bit of walking, taking of some nice late hours making nice Swedish dishes, telling many stories more or less truth.

Above: Biscuits and whisky - a nice combination. I found a nice male example of the "Egehjort" (Oakbug?), the largest bug in Scandinavia. Well, the 5.6 kg Salmon was actually bought in a shop and could supply 30 people for dinner!
